Construction & Cost
One person answerable for the programme, the budget and the quality. That person is us.
Project management is single-point accountability for delivering a construction project to time, cost and quality. Nautic acts client-side: writing the brief, assembling and managing the consultant and contractor team, holding the programme and budget, controlling change, and running commissioning and handover through to practical completion and the end of the defects period.
Projects rarely fail on any single discipline. They fail in the gaps between disciplines, the decision nobody owned, the long-lead item nobody ordered, the drawing nobody reconciled. A client-side project manager exists to close those gaps, and to give the client one number to call and one version of the truth.
What we deliver
Turning an intention into a defined, costed, programmed scope before commitments are made.
Selecting and appointing architects, engineers and specialists on clear scopes and fee terms.
A real programme with critical path, long-lead items and decision dates the client can actually work to.
Administering the building contract, instructions, certificates and extensions of time.
A live risk register, and a change process where nothing proceeds without a cost and time consequence attached.
Snagging, O&M manuals, warranties, training and the defects period managed to conclusion.

FAQ
The contractor builds the project. The project manager represents the client's interests, defining what is to be built, appointing and coordinating the team, and holding cost, time and quality to account.
Yes. Fit-outs and refurbishments frequently carry more risk than new build, because existing conditions are unknown until opened up. They benefit from tight management.
Yes. We begin with a review of contract, programme, cost position and outstanding risk, and give you a written picture of where the project genuinely stands before we recommend a course of action.
